I can see another legitimate purpose to posting announcements of
formative meetings of new teams on this forum. Many former QB players
still belong to this club. One of those might be living in the San
Diego area and show up as a volunteer -- and many teams have seen their
fortunes rise dramatically when some old fart like me decides to come
lend a hand, read for practice, offer sagely wisdom, etc.
For that matter, the earlier posting prompted me to e-mail a
respected former player who now lives in San Diego and let him know such
a group is being formed.
On the other hand, I'll concede that >2 hrs. notice is a good idea
in the future.
