2004 Chicago Open and I owe some people questions

Hello All,

First off let me apologize to a few individuals who had paid me for
last summer's singles questions as I'm pretty sure I never sent the
questions out.  I recently finished transcribing them from hard copy
as my initial question file had been deleted.  So with my sincere
apologies, if you paid for the questions and did not receive them,
please e-mail me at - subash at uchicago dot edu or suby10 at yahoo
dot com - and I'll send them out to you ASAP.  Also if you do come to
this year's Chicago Open, I'll knock $10 off your entry fee.  

I also wanted to make a preliminary announcement for this summer's
edition of Chicago Open.  I haven't decided on the date (I was
thinking a weekend in July) and I wanted to solicit the usual
attendees and prospective attendees as to preferrable dates.  There
will be a couple of changes this year.  The tournament will be going
back to packet submission unlike the last two years.  Writing the
majority of the questions was too much of a drain, so I'll just
provide three or four playoff packets this year and edit the rest. 
Also, this will help me keep the difficulty at a more manageable level
as I felt it got out of hand last year.  I want to scale back a couple
of tiers, and it's always easier to see when other people's questions
are too hard.  The other change will be that I will not be writing a
singles tournament, though I believe that we have an individual
who might.

I know it's a long ways off, but I just wanted to give people a heads
up.  I'd really like a great turnout this year.  Please e-mail me at
one of the above e-mail addresses if you have any questions or input
regarding a good weekend for the tournament.  I do hope to have the
ACF All Star Burlesque Trio in attendance, featuring performances by
Vishnu Jejjala, Dave Goodman, and Jeff Johnson.  Dave might also be
bringing Regis Philbin along to perform with him.  I'm not sure whose
act is more racy, but you'll have to be there to find out.
