Hello, The 2nd Ottawa Hybrid Tournament was held this past Saturday at the University of Ottawa. 9 teams participated, representing 7 universities and groups. After the round-robin, McGill B and Dick Pound's All-Stars (McGill A) were tied for first at 7-1. Stats of the round-robin (as well as playoff scoreboards and round reports) are found here: http://ca.geocities.com/uotrivia/oht06/oht06_standings.html The top three individuals were Jon of Dick Pound's All-Stars (44 PPG), Paul of triviahalloffame.com (41 PPG), and Dave of McGill B (40 PPG). Dave had the most negs (10), while Andrew of Dick Pound's All-Stars had the most powers (12). Dick Pound's All-Stars had a quarterfinal bye to accommodate reading their second pack. No controversy erupted, possibly because they were tied for first anyway. Thanks to the teams that came out, as well as the full-time staffers: Andrei Janus, Philippe Marchand, Shauna McNally, Ben Smith, and Tamara Vardomskaya. Also, thanks to the many participants and outsiders who contributed packets. We hope to see you again at the OHT3, tentatively scheduled for March 24, 2007 (sorry, no St. Patrick's Day revelry). Of course, an announcement for that is still far in the future. Until then, all the best and hope you had a good time.
