an idea?

(REgarding qb-chat: Mike Hipps, the founder of
this list, seems to have disappeared off the face of
the earth. Last I heard, he had even been kicked off
the East Georgia team. I would suggest that someone
start up a new list on egroups.)

Would
establishing the list on the silicon-age.com server be a
possibility? Obviously R. would be able to answer that
question far better than I, but I posit that it has the
following advantages:

1. Still as convenient to R.
for running the darn thing, as R. is a senior manager
at Silicon Age.
2. Silicon Age is more impartial
than NAQT. Tom does have a point there, although I
would debate the impact that hosting the list on
_at_... would have. Better, however, to remove even the
slightest
3. An issue would be the cost involved to
Silicon Age -- if it is above $100 or so a year, it could
be a major hassle (or a tax break? I dunno.)

I join the chorus of praise for R.'s abilities as a
moderator.

R., realize that I say these things out
of complete ignorance regarding the web space/server
load/mail handling capability/etc. at _at_... or
_at_...

I do hope, however, that either server, or whatever
server we use as the host for the qb lists, could
weather a spam attack.
