Re: NAQT high school

Not that I can argue that the best region for HS
competition is the DC-MD-VA area, but I do warn you that the
South had placed two semifinalists at PACE NSC
(Riverdale and Dorman). Furthermore, Eisenhower (MI)
finished in the top 4 at each of the three non-Chip
nationals, winning Lake Forest, 2nd place at PACE, and 4th
place at NAQT... and because they're all juniors,
they're going to be one of the top teams to beat next
season.

Of course, I can boast last year's CWRU Great Lakes
Regional field in which the Final Four there (State
College, Detroit Catholic, Henry Ford II, Copley) took 2
national championships and two semifinalist positions at
nationals last year. But then again, this area is having a
down year. To its credit, the DC area certainly
doesn't get that many swoons.

BTW: Walter Johnson
finished second to Eisenhower at Lake Forest... so point
taken. And of course, I picked Maryland to win
Panasonic. :)
