Actually, I can be a bit more "confrontational"
about the results from NAQT in that the same top two
teams (State College and Governor's School) met each
other at the Ninth Yale Bulldog High School Academic
Tournament in early February. That specific tournament has
drawn a lot of good teams, from as many as 11?
different states in the past year or so.
New Haven
may not be the same as College Park in terms of
proximity to some of the best national championship teams,
but the Yale tournament certainly should be
considered one of the best tournaments in the country along
with the Maryland tournaments and Vanderbilt
tournaments.
