To clarify: I said that it is utterly lacking in
musical quality (as are most things on the radio) not
that it is not "music" in some sense. Someone who is
utterly tone deaf might still be "singing" in some sense,
just don't tell me that it has musical value. That
doesn't mean that it is valueless--my father cannot carry
a tune, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it when he
tries or have some sort of internal familial twinge; it
does mean that he isn't really producing
"music."
