Unifying the politics thread to quizbowl (and,
for reasons I STILL don't understand, continuing this
thread.), I was just reading all of the previous posts, and
I noticed all of the posts were either
anti-Republican or pro-Socialist. This got me to thinking, and I
remembered that both of the two major forces behind my
school's team are very left leaning.
Basically, I'm
just wondering if there is a proponderance of people
in quiz bowl to be left leaning, and, if this is
true, why it is true. One one hand, a lot of the most
fertile grounds for college players are in relatively
left leaning areas (DC, the Northeast, Illinois,
etc.), however, maybe there is another reason. Just
curious as to what other people think about this. After
considering the hostility these previous threads have
produced, I'm kind of afraid to post this, but oh,
well
