Actually, I've found
quiz-bowlers to be remarkably representative of the political
spectrum, except probably with more people on both fringes
than in the general public--though maybe not true of
the general _college-aged_ public.

I'm with
Kristin and Adam on this somewhat--there's something to
be said for a Nader protest vote or for a defensive
Gore vote. But personally, voting for the party (the
Democrats) that dismantled our country's safety net is as
abhorrent to me as voting for the party that's wanted to do
so for ages. The political spectrum is relatively
meaningless now as both parties attempt to seize a somewhat
right-of-center position. Is there a legitimate liberal left in
the two-party system?
