Re: Philly Experiment 6 results

I'm a big doofus. Here are some more, and more
accurate, Philly Experiment 6 results.

Placements
after round-robin, going into playoffs:

The top
4 teams played each other in a round-robin. Their
records carried over.

1. Boys & Goys Together,
7-1
2. Not the Running Back, 6-2, won head-to-head
3.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, 6-2
4. Categorical
Imperatives, 5-3

The bottom 5 teams played each
other in a system which bears a marked resemblance to
ladder play.

5. Nunavut Arctic College, 3-5, won
head-to-head 2-0
6. Ceci N'est Pas un Team, 3-5, 1-1 in
head-to-head
7. 1918 Boston Red Sox, 3-5, 0-2 in
head-to-head
8. Revolucion Melcoton, 2-6
9. 4 Non-Non-Blondes,
1-7

After playoffs were over, the standings were:
1 & 2.
Categorical Imperatives, Boys & Goys together
3. Not the
Running Back
4. League of Extraordinary
Gentlemen
5. Nunavut Arctic College
6. Ceci N'est Pas un
Team
7. 1918 Boston Red Sox
8. Revolucion
Melcoton
9. 4 Non-Non-Blondes

The finals game was
played between Boys & Goys Together and Categorical
Imperatives. CI took an early lead while B&G negged twice; at
question 5 the score was 70-5 CI. Both teams swapped
tossups, and at the half the score was 125-65 CI, but B&G
took tossups 11-14 to pull ahead to 145-125 B&G. CI
scored the next four tossups, however, and although B&G
answered the last two questions, the final score was
245-190 Categorical Imperatives. Categoriacal Imperatives
received the von Karajan recording of Mahler's Symphony
#8, which is probably the CD with the most ego of any
the TC or TD had ever laid eyes on. Boys & Goys
Together got second pick and received a complete set of
Brandenburg concertos on original instruments.

More to come, including 15/10/-5's,
total points, etc.
