ANNOUNCE: TRASH South Regionals

The University of Georgia is pleased to host the
TRASH South Regionals 2000 on Sunday, Nov. 5. Please
note that this is the day after Berry College's
Southeastern Invitational (Nov. 3-4). There will be a discount
for those schools who attend both, though keeping the
same team roster for both tournaments is not
necessary. Any teams are welcome, school-affiliated or
otherwise. Questions will be provided by the staff of TRASH,
and the tournament (untimed) will be conducted by
their rules, unless we change them on a whim before the
morning of the tournament.

PRICES:
First Team: $75
Additional Teams:
$50

Buzzer System: $10 (each)
Game officials: $20

Costume: $10 (all team members must be in costume)
 In
honor of the likelihood that many schools will be
traveling from Rome to Athens (GA) this weekend, we are
limiting the costume discount to those teams wearing
togas. Prizes will be awarded for Best Individual Toga
and Best Team Togas.

Cancelling less
than 24 hours before the tournament begins without
notifying the host: Bad karma

Minimum registration:
$40 for the first team, $30 for additional
teams.

TIME AND LOCATION:
The tournament will take place
on the 5th floor of the Journalism Building on the
UGA campus. Registration will be from 8:30-9:00am,
the general team meeting at 9:00am, and rounds
beginning no later than 9:30am. The number of teams
attending will dictate how late the tournament runs, but
we
have the building until 8:00pm. General directions to

HOTELS:
Following the three "P"s for hotel selection (Price,
Proximity, and Personal safety), we recommend the Holiday

is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the
tournament site.
