To clarify, the "they were all black!" buzz was
in a single-elimination playoff game. That is, Vandy
went on (and won the playoffs), Harvard went home then
and there.
Meanwhile, the "crack" buzz came
late in the round robin, in a game we should have won,
possibly the best team Boston University fielded in my
three years there, the difference between facing
Chicago A in the first round of the playoffs (but at
least standing a mathematical chance, if the pack were
screwy or something) and "drive home
safely!"
