Shawn said, "In four years approximately we will
be voting for a new President."

Funny...
that's what people were saying the "day after" Clinton
won in 1992. Oh well...

The only thing to note
is for my own opinion: it doesn't matter who wins
the Presidency considering the make-up of the
Congress... pretty much 50-50. You wanna guess how much of an
agenda either Gore or Bush will be able to advance
having to deal with a stalemate in both houses of
Congress six months after they assume office? What
mandate? What direction? What vision? What
feedback?

They both survived the primaries and were nominated as
the choices for the two main parties. You had your
chance to support Bradley or McCain months ago, but they
didn't win.

Basically I'm one who likes to see
cliffhangers and emotional trials. I like close match-ups and
this one certainly has been as close as it gets. And
frankly, I enjoyed seeing all those news anchors, pundits,
and experts tripping over themselves in sheer anguish
as the night turned into day. Yes, it's going to
suck for whoever finally loses this campaign, but
there's always another election, or there's always more
money in thinktanks or the private sector. :)
