Auburn University Montgomery has awarded
scholarships, book money, and/or housing funds in the past for
players. The money came from a grant from Alabama Power.
When the money dried up, so did the scholarships. The
scholarships were very nice while they lasted; in fact one
paid for my entire tuition while getting my
Masters.
I heard earlier this week, though, that Alabama
Power has decided to resume donating money to the AUM
College Bowl team. I haven't yet had a chance to ask the
AUM coach, Dr. Lee Farrow, if she plans to resume
giving scholarships; but if she does plan to do so I'll
post the information here.
