Indiana Crossover Tournament (ICT)

This is the first announcment for the State of
Indiana Crossover Tournament (our "ICT"), to be held
April 21st on DePauw's campus in Greencastle.

This tournament will be co-hosted by DePauw and
Indiana University, with all questions written and edited
by Stan Jastrzebski, Jerry Hagen and their
staffs.

What makes this tournament unique is that it is
half-trash, half-academic (but all in one day!), with the
approximate distribution as follows:

NAQT-style (but
untimed)
20 questions/round (but 24/20 per
packet)

Distribution like this (all numbers are
maximums):

Academic: TRASH:
2 Literature 2 Sports
2 Science 2
Movies
2 History 2 TV
2 Fine Arts 2 Music
2
Religion/myth/philosophy 2 Games
2 Other academic 2 Geek
TRASH

This tourney wil attempt to show, in a small amount of
time, which team is the best at both
disciplines.

All teams are welcome, and difficulty will probably
be somewhere near NAQT SCT level for all
questions.

We will give awards for top Div. I and Div. II teams
(assuming enough teams), as well as individual
awards.

Registration will be valid from now until Thursday, April 19
at midnight, whe brackets will be drawn
up.

We hope to guarantee everyone 12 rounds of play on
the day, and given enough teams, we will probably
have more.

Please send team information to
ducks_at_... .

Hope to see you all in April,
Stan
Jastrzebski

P.S. If you're in the Midwest, we're the only game in
town that weekend, so you've got no excuse!
