Except for too much golf, I agree with
what
Mike
H-L said. Before I go into my
sports
comments,
however, I want to say the
following.
1)TRASHionals was
a 99% enjoyable experience.
2)
The
moderators
were of near grade-A quality; most were
clear
and
personable -- Alexis excepted of course
;).
3)
The
building was nice, including the lecture
hall.
4)
The
awards ceremony (at least TRASH's part of
it)
was
exceptional. Dave Vacca, while making it
the
longest
post-tourney ceremony I ever attended, showed a
mastery
of
improv I never knew he had. :)
5) Most
of
the
questions were fully appropriate for the
national
level,
and well distributed. Kudos to TRASH's
"A/V"
dept.;
the audio and visual questions were by far
the
best
set they ever produced.
6) I never
followed
ECW,
but even I could tell that JD was the
man
for
procuring the Heavyweight Belt.
All that
said,
I'll
put my sports comments in the next message...
in
the
meantime, congrats to Berkeley, who was a
truly
excellent
team few knew about. Hopefully Arizona will
repeat
the
West-Coast-Revenge performance in basketball tonight
