Re: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

It's interesting that the new phone game leaves
the ultimate decsion on who gets on in the hands of
the producers/show execs. 500-ish are randomly chosen
from the 4000-ish who will get all 5 questions right,
and then it goes into the hands of the producers. I
assume they will look for things like
gender/geographical/etc. diversity, but I wonder if they also take into
consideration how many times in the past you have gotten the
test correct? Perhaps it is in their best interests to
have smart, but not TOO smart contestants? Surely they
must keep records by SSN how many times you have
called and how many times you have gotten the initial
test correct. I just wonder whether or not that is a
factor (and worry, insomuch as one can worry about
getting on a game show ;-). Perhaps I have a better shot
auditioning and claiming a strange and interesting hobby,
such as virtual spelunking or something like that. Any
response or adivce from our two most recent hot seat
occupants? Or anyone for that matter...
