Nice to see a smattering of Middlesex County, NJ,
quizbowlers around here. However, most of the tournaments I
remembered playing at in HS weren't of the same
tossup/bonus/buzzer style that's played on the collegiate level. That
is not to say they aren't bad, just
different.

Emmet already mentioned the Bridgewater tournament (a
statewide competition) and Perth Amboy (a county
tournament). I also remember playing at a tournament at some
Catholic school down the Jersey shore, as well as at
Ridgewood. I'm sure my HS went to a few more after I
graduated a while back.

There is a bit of a circuit
here in NJ, just not as centralized or as intense as
other states. (At least not since Rutgers New Jersey
Bowl went under eons ago.) There are plenty of people
from the Garden State here on the circuit, that's for
sure.
