I'll go where Tom fears to tread, Ohio has one of
the more unique two-team formats for Academic
Challenge in existence.
Round 1 is composed of 13
Categories. Each category has three questions; one for team
A,one for team B, and a tossup. The team is awarded 3
points if the first answer given is correct,and 2 points
if their second guess is correct. If the team
answers incorrectly twice, the other team may steal for
one point. Each team is allowed one attempt at the
tossup
Round 2 "The Alphabet Round" is a written ten question
team worksheet, where all answers begin with the same
letter. 3 minutes are given to complete the worksheet,
each correct answer is worth 1 point
Round 3
"The Lightning Round" is composed of 10 one-sentence
questions, each worth 1 point.
