Congratulations are in order to Sean Conley (no
relation that I'M aware of to anyone at Maryland) of
Anoka, Minnesota, who just a few minutes ago won the
National Spelling Bee for 2001. The winning word, which
I'm sure will be appearing in a Masters' tournament
near you, was pronounced "SUX-uh-DAY-nee-uhm". I leave
it as an exercise to the reader to try to spell THAT
one.
Okay, fine. S-U-C-C-E-D-A-N-E-U-M.
