Re: in light of recent comments (reposts

Also from May '97. Don't have a copy of the Top
Ten Men of Midwestern
College Bowl
though.

Here it is, a list compiled from a poll taken by an
Illinois player.
The criteria: Aesthetic qualities
(good looks)
Game skills and game personality blah
blah blah

Honorable Mentions (People not seen
by poll taker)

-Erin McKean
(ex-Chicago)
-Lauren Kucner (ex-Maryland)
-Bianca Moravec
(Loyola)

THE LIST

10. Jen Wadsack-Stewart (ex-BYU,
Princeton)- One mean mother behind the
 buzzer. Maternal
instincts are good.

 9. Mary Moran (ex-Chicago,
Iowa)- The nicest literature taker you'll
 ever
meet. Even when she's whipping your ass.

 8.
Christy Peterson (Ohio State)- She's an example of
Midwestern good
 looks.

 7. Anne Mitchell
(Michigan)- The epitome of politeness and culture.

6. Su Kim (ex-Illinois)- She tolerated Andy Wang's
bad behavior for a
 semester.

 5. Maribeth
Swiatek (Illinois)- She's good at science and literature,

she bakes brownies for practice, she tolerated
Jerry and Andy's bad
 behavior for 3+ years and,
most importantly, she let Jerry, Kyle and
 Andy
keep their beer in her fridge.

 4. Avanti
Athreya (Iowa State)- Blonde hair and blue eyes be
damned,
exotic good looks can't be beat. Her
taunting of Andy is also
 amusing.

 3.
Christine Moritz (ex-Emory)- She's good at lit and has a
southern
accent. The latter should be required of all
women.

 2. Emily Pike (Carleton)- Wholesome good looks
combined with baggy
 overalls creates the persona of
the quintessential Midwestern
 women. Whatever
the hell that is.

 1. Julie Singer (Maryland)-
Another good player from the Maryland
 juggernaut
(alma mater of Vishnu Jejala) but we bet Vishnu never

looked so good in a pair of
jeans.
