ANNOUNCEMENT: Michigan MLK

Michigan Academic Competitions announces the 2002
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tournament, scheduled
for January 19, 2002 at the University of Michigan in
Ann Arbor.

The tournament is a timed, packet
submission event using NAQT-style rules. Packets should
contain 30 tossups and 30 bonuses subject to the
following distribution:

4-4 Literature
4-4
History
5-4 (or 4-5) Science
3-4 (or 4-3) Fine Arts
4-4
Geography and Social Science
3-3 Mythology, Religion,
and Philosophy
3-3 Current Events
3-3 Popular
Culture
1-1 General Knowledge

difficulty, and formatting, are available at

Submitted questions should follow the guidelines that will
be listed in the updated version of the Michigan

Your fee will include lunch; if we are unable to
provide food for any reason we will lower your fee
accordingly.

Canadian dollars will be accepted at par from Canadian
schools; however, we must receive payment in U.S.
funds.

The tournament director is David Thorsley; you can

committee will be led by David Thorsley, Adam Kemezis, Noel
Erinjeri, and Emily Moore.

the 2002 Ann B. Davis, scheduled for January 20,
