The 2nd George Gamow High School Tournament will
be held at the George Washington University in
Washington, DC on October 13th, 2001.
The base fee
will be $50/first team from a school, $40 for each
additional team, with the following discounts:
-$10 for
bringing a functional buzzer (and telling us about it
beforehand)
-$10 for bringing an experienced, dedicated staffer
(and telling us about it beforehand, again)
The
field will be capped at 24 teams and the format will be
modified ACF (20 tossups, non-matching 30-point
non-bouncing boni, no clocks), sharing questions with
UT-Chattanooga's Trevor's Trivia tournament on the same
day.
This tournament is a qualifier for PACE's National
Scholastic Tournament, which will also be held at GW, in
June 2002.
