Re: New Air Travel Rules

"Not only that..but what about taking a Buzzer
System on a flight? With all the electronics that go
into making one, even if they are not that complex,
that would raise some redflags either at the security
check points..."

FWIW, I managed to get a buzzer
system from Heathrow to Boston for the 2000 ICT with
minimal difficulty. It did raise a few eyebrows, but once
I opened the case and explained precisely what it
was (and how the other people with me were the rest
of the team), we got happily nodded through, despite
still carrying as hand luggage a metal box with a lot
of wires in it.

I'm not wanting to try this
again soon - I suspect the clockwork briefcase could
cause more than a few difficulties in future; then
again, I don't think anyone over here would trust me to
try it again, the number of times I tried to lose it
(including putting it down to say "hi" to Matt at Logan,
then walking off without picking it up
again)....
