Re: Falwell, et al. Part II

Perhaps I'm being naive, but isn't all this
disagreement, disunity, and rancor that's evident in this
community actually helping the terrorists succeed in
carrying out their agenda of causing (at least a little)
disruption and uneasiness in our lives? Every second we
spend yelling at each other is a second that we cannot
spend appreciating the value and fragility of our own
lives! Didn't this whole disaster teach us anything
about life -- about how our friends with whom we are
arguing very well might not be around to reply to us?


Right now (or ever, for that matter), we do not need
finger-pointing, belittling of others' strongly-held beliefs, or
anger. We need to foster a community of acceptance,
respect, and love. How else can we stop such acts of hate
in the future?
