Re: A Letter to Pres.Bush and Congress (

I'm sorry, and perhaps I should not post when
angry, but I have seen enough of this academic crap.
Obviously, we need to take as much care as possible in
avoiding targeting of civilians. But I agree with Hayden;
in a war, unfortunately some unintended civilian
life is going to be lost.

And this _is_ a war
against Western civilization; Osama bin Laden has said
that himself. Adolf Hitler was a criminal, and he
committed war. Do you honestly think trying and convicting
Adolf Hitler in a court of law in absentia would have
caused the Nazis to surrender him? Yeah, just like the
Kellogg-Briand Pact effectively outlawed war.

But what I
am particularly peeved at is that a lot of people
don't seem to get the potential threat that these
terrorists and the governments who sponsor them pose. Why
should or will they stop at hijacking airplanes? I'm
sure most everyone has heard about the grounding of
crop dusters linked to the possibility that the
terrorists were planning a chemical/biological weapon
attack. Perhaps a large scale, widespread attack may not
be feasible now, but all they have to do is perfect
some technology, and it may unfortunately work.

To say nothing about the development of nuclear
weapons -- since these terrorists believe they were
ascending to heaven by committing the attacks, I don't
think they will hesitate to destroy the planet should
they gain nuclear ballistic capabilities.

We
have to snuff these perpitrators and the regimes that
sponsor them now, before it is too late. Don't
intentionally hit civilians, but overthrow the Taliban and
perhaps Saddam Hussein as well. If some civilians
unintentionally get hit, though, I will trade a few for six
billion.

The Israelis have made some mistakes in their
vigorous fight against terrorism and belligerent
surrounding regimes. But if they were not willing to fight,
you know where they would be right now? Extinct,
because several nations and their leaders do not want
Israel and Judaism to exist in that area, if at all. At
the very least, we need to secure our airplanes like
El Al does, and we probably need counter-terrorism
measures similar to Israel's.
