This is just a random musing, something I've been
contemplating for a bit. I've noticed that a great way to get
younger players involved in the academic circuit is
through the junior birds. They're playing on packets more
age/skill level appropriate, it builds confidence, more
stick with qb for that reason. So, why don't we do the
same thing for trash tournaments? Wouldn't it be good
for new trash players every once in awhile to have
tournaments w/o the great (albeit older) trash players
stomping them? Not to take anything away from the
well-deserved success of these players but isn't one reason the
older ones aren't allowed in academic junior birds
don't feel as though they are being
cannibalized?
I'd love to hear opinions on this, especially if
anyone feels I'm way off base.
