ACF Fall Midsouth: full results, kudos

Thanks to all those who made ACF Fall Midsouth
come together and run smoothly. First and foremost,
thanks to Kelly McKenzie for providing the questions and
also serving as a reader. Thanks also to the rest of
the reader corps: Joseph Dion, Jason Russell, Ernie
Anderson, Keith Hudson, and assistant TD Stephen Taylor.
Stats goddess Dorothy Morisch outdid herself with
timely stats and stuff despite being on crutches; thanks
also to Yolanda Fernandez for serving as Dorothy's
runner. Thanks also to the UTC crew of Shannon Moore,
Taylor Loy, David Moore, John Kilby, and especially
Wally Edmondson for handling a tougher setup than usual
(two of our assigned rooms were occupied by squatters
and a 3rd had the electric outlet yanked from it
sometime in the last 2 weeks.) I also want to thank the
UTC team for dividing forces to fill in the brackets
after the last-minute withdrawal of another team.

As noted earlier, Kentucky A took 1st, with South
Carolina and Emory 2nd and 3rd. In Division II, Tennessee
was 1st, followed by Rhodes A and Rhodes B. After a
full round robin, standings were as follows (Division
II teams noted with a *)

Team
Win	Loss
Kentucky A	11	0
South
Carolina	10	1
Emory 9	2
Berry 8	3
Tennessee* 7	4
Rhodes A*	5	6
Rhodes B*	4	7
UTC
A 4	7
U. of the South	3	8
Kentucky B*	3	8
Kentucky
C*	2	9
UTC B* 0	11

Since ACF's request was that no
title be decided by a single loss, we held a
best-of-three playoff for both 1st and 3rd, with Kentucky A and
Emory holding a one-game advantage going in. Kentucky A
defeated South Carolina 320-175 to nail down the title;
Emory edged Berry 180-170 to hold onto
3rd.

Individual results will follow shortly.
