I checked tourcenter, and the only people who've
made anything near 77 PPG playing on a house team
since fall 2000 are David Hamilton at last month's
Terrapin and Seth Kendall at last spring's Kentucky
tournament. As anyone who's played them knows, neither player
needs any surreptitious aid to score well, nor has
either scored as low as 16 PPG at anything
lately.
The conclusion, then is that this mystery player
whose stats were posted by our anonymous friend just
does not exist. Who's to say what the purpose of this
hoax is; my guess is that it's either to sow discord
for some sort of sadistic fun of or some sort of
head-up-the-ass sociological experiment in community reaction. In
either case, there's nothing to discuss here since it
didn't happen.
