I feel I should bring in
the context, though few will care. John Nam likes to
trash-talk, as many of you know. This relates to a fantasy
football league; he challenged me to bet him any amount of
money that he would finish ahead of me in the final
standings, despite the fact that he trails me by two games,
has lost to me head-to-head, and has 66 fewer points
than I do. When I suggested $27, he mocked me for not
betting enough. So I made that bet, thinking that the QB
community probably would not mind seeing at least one of us
"just shut up" for a while. Little did I know that the
supposed "King" of trash-talk (or maybe just a pretender)
would value his "posting power" so greatly that he'd
take offense at this.
If I lose the bet, I can
no longer post -- and I'm sure some of you wouldn't
mind seeing that :)
