First, my apologies for running late with these
announcements; I can only plead that I had the day off
yesterday...
Anyhow, the TRASH Heartland Regionals were held on
Saturday, in Rolla MO. The two finalists, Battleplanet XVII
& Scientology Wow, devastated their respective
brackets, going undefeated in round-robin play. They met in
a best two-out-of-three finals. Battleplanet won
the first game 200-180, on the final tossup, then ran
away with the second game, 240-55.
Kudos to
Scientology Wow, who took home (and assembled, I understand)
the runner-up trophy of a 3-D jigsaw sculpture of Jar
Jar Binks.
And congratulations to
Battleplanet, 2001 Heartland Regional Champions, who turned
down the Jar Jar sculpture to take what was behind
door number 2, and thus had to take home a New Kids on
the Block blanket.
