My high school hosts a "booster"
bowl every year in which members of the community
formed teams and competed against each other with the
winner playing our "A" team. We had a teams of lawyers,
doctors, h.s. faculty, community college faculty, ect. The
event was begun with our A and B teams scrimaging to
show everybody how to play. We sold tickets to the
event and even had it aired on our local cable channel.
We also asked local businesses for donations.
After everyone tournament we would run an article in
the paper about our successes and thanked the local
businesses for their support.
