For what it's worth Jeremy,
I absolutely
agree with you that I'd rather get as many rounds in as
possible but unfortunately, I've noticed a tendency in the
south in general for fewer rounds and definitely people
seem more ready to leave when they're out of
contention (even some of my teammates are of this
persuasion). I don't know if there's less of a commitment here
to the game as such or what.
As well, the
football thing doesn't help. It was difficult for me
moving down here from the north to understand what a
religion it is down here. FSU is laughable as a
university--it's a life support system for a football
team.
