Probably the
worst buzz I ever had was on a question at PACE NSC
that began with something like "Call me down, Ishtar!"
or something like that. I reflex-buzzed with
"Gilgamesh," realizing about a half-second after that my
answer was completely wrong, due to the fact that Mike
Burger, our moderator, had prefaced the question with
"Uh-oh, I dunno about this one." The answer turned out to
be Mars Attacks, and I'm still disappointed that I
didn't get the prize for worst neg of the tournament.
Instead, Nate won it for buzzing on something with
"Communist Manifesto", which also turned out to be
completely wrong. He even agreed with me that my buzz was
worse.

My "Uh-oh" would be to the
fact that I don't think an R rated movie was
appropriate material for a High School tournament. Of course,
by saying this, I've started another debate.
