Re: NAQT sectional info

Since the sectionals
are drawing near, and as of yet there has been no
such webpage, I'd like to ask another question
regarding eligibility rules. When you say that "win-loss
record" is included, is this the win-loss record before
any playoff structure is included, or does this
include playoff matches, even if not everyone is playoff
bound, and therefore do not play an equal number of
games?

For example, tournament X runs a best-of-3 playoff
series. Now suppose a team starts out after a partial RR
at 6-3, and then proceeds to lose the first two
matches to end up at 6-5, while a non-playoff contender
ends up at 5-4. The 5-4 team has the greater percent
of wins (.556 v .545), but the 6-5 team did better
before the playoffs. Which team is given preference in
the win-loss record statistic, and why?
