First, I wanted to thank again our readers for
the NAQT Southeast Sectionals at USF: Richard Dunlap,
Steve Ohm, Mark Rupright, Bob Gonzales, and Mark
Dawson--some of whom traveled from great distances to
participate. By most accounts, I heard that they performed
pretty well (at least, there were no huge
controversies).
In fact, there were no inexperienced readers at our
tournament. Every one of our moderators had read for three or
more QB tournaments prior to this one. The average
tossups heard per game was about 19.5. I would think that
number should be over 20, but it's not as bad as 18.
Yes, the low number of TUs was 14. That occurred only
once, while a full 28 tossups were heard twice (both in
Dunlap's room, I believe).
