If
people play in Div II for several years, it is not
because they're trying to take unfair advantage of the
other teams. Perhaps they're in a region with strong
schools that can always whip out a fresh batch of strong
Div II players.

Consider, for example, that
you go to sectionals again next year and get edged
out by Chicago, Carleton, or somebody else. Would you
then think it fair that you - because you didn't play
as well as some of the other teams there - should be
penalized by having to face even more difficult
competition?

I certainly understand your position. Last year's
Div II sectionals had many returning players (and one
notable senior), but they have a right to keep playing
until they rise to the top. I don't think anyone would
throw games just to stay in Div II.
