It's comforting to know that other teams have
done well for themselves without college/university
support, since we're (Xavier) probably facing the same
situation. Two years ago when I asked why we only did CBI
regionals, I got a very disappointing response...that we
could have one kick-ass weekend (read: all expenses
paid) and just go to CBI, or we could pay our own way
to more tournaments. Nice, huh? For a university
where education and the pursiut of knowledge is
supposed to be key, money is all the issue. But, hopefully
with all this new support and help we have, we can
change that!
