I much prefer IRC chat. It is much easier for those of
us who don't have state-of-the-art machines to run as
opposed to the buggy, resource-gobbling Java applet
provided for Yahoo, and it also does not suffer from
the random outages that Yahoo chat has been prone to
since long before the groups changeover. The ops/topic
thing is only an issue until Undernet gets its act
together and designates permanent ops for the channel,
at which point we can have a public discussion on who
should be in charge.
