Re: Brief TRASHionals Results

I want to express my gratitude to the Michigan and TRASH folks for
running an excellent tournament. No room snafus, all well-written
packets, ample time between rounds, and good people all around. That
last bit is for the competitors as well...all our opponents displayed
nothing but sportsmanship, including well-wishing and hand-shaking
after rounds, things I see so rarely at other tournaments.

Some questions I've got:

1. Are the theme rounds going to be available anywhere? In
particular, I'd like to get a copy of the baseball round. FWIW,
anyone that would like a copy of my (stupendously high-scoring) SNL
round can do so by e-mailing me privately. Include a Josh Acid
reference for extra-speedy delivery.

2. Would TRASH (or anybody else, affiliated or not) like me to send
them a ladder/playoff concept I've been pondering? This isn't a
knock on this past weekend's tournament -- it's hard to argue with a
tournament when the final match pits two teams that went a combined
27-1 against the rest of the field. But, had we gone 5-0 and 5-0
(instead of 0-5 and 1-4, respectively) vs. Battleplanet and MiKEA,
all other things equal, we'd have gone 20-0 in the playoff-ish round
and still (I believe) not made the finals. I realize we have no one
to blame but ourselves for this predicament, and I'm certainly happy
with a third-place finish, but this last scenario seems like a
legitimate concern.

3. Is there any interest in a Las Vegas tournament, perhaps late this
upcoming summer?

Real good tourney, all. Hope to see y'all around.
