First off, I'd like to second Jason's praise for the staff of TRASH and the volunteers from the Univ. of Michigan organization, as TRASHionals ran like a well-oiled machine this year, including finishing on time and early enough for me to catch an earlier flight home (bonus!). Secondly, I'd like to give credit where credit is due to the Mike Keenan Employment Agency, who gave us all we can handle in not one, but two great matches. Thanks to the luck of the schedule, we wound up playing them in both the first and the last matches of the tournament, and either game was close enough to have gone in their favor. Also, I must tip my hat to the gentlemen on Funkyorangerash, who outplayed us during our match. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their good sportsmanship and support after each match, and to once again thank everyone who wished us good luck during the finals. Kudos to Adam for the "I Love TRASH" packet, Jason for his SNL packet, Michael Phillipy for the Doonesbury packet. I would thank more people, but those were the only theme packets I had the opportunity to participate in. BTW, if anyone is interested, I can send my "Are We There Yet?" packet to anyone who would like an extra set of practice questions. The packet has its share of "Roadside Americana", but there's a good amount of regular trash that happened to fit within the theme, so hopefully everyone can get a few chuckles out of the set. Please e-mail me privately if you would like this packet. Brian M. Hight (UVA 1999)
