Located in Ellicott City, Maryland, Centennial frequents mideastern regional quiz bowl tournaments.

Since 2005, Centennial has also hosted an annual tournament each December, which is the largest in the DC metro area. Centennial's tournament used It's Academic-style speed check questions until 2010. In 2011, Chris Ray helped the school write and edit its own good quizbowl set, and in 2012 the school drew 66 teams in two divisions to compete on an NAQT A-set. It is thought that the consistently large field sizes of Centennial's tournament stem from its yearly physical mailing of schools across the region.

Centennial allegedly holds the current record for most points scored in an It's Academic game 935 which they achived in 2000.

Centennial's Quizbowl team can be contacted at chsitsac@gmail.com (unknown if this email is still used)
