Jorge Sanchez is the founder of the Elgin Academy Scholastic Bowl Team, of which he is currently the head coach. Jorge Sanchez is a current member of IHSSBCA and received the 2022 IHSSBCA Class 1A Coach of the year award.

Sanchez led Elgin Academy to play in the 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023 SSNCTs.
