Britney hails from the small town of Napanee, Ontario and began playing Reach for the Top in Grade 10, as well as Whiz Quiz. She joined the UOttawa trivia club in her first year of university and was elected president two years later. She was re-elected President for the 2010-2011 year, by a margin of one vote over teammate Brendan McKendy.

In May 2010 and 2011 she was a moderator at Reach for the Top Nationals held in Toronto.

In June 2011, she completed her BA in Français langue seconde with a minor in études françaises. In July 2011 she earned the position of secretary in the Ontario Quizbowl Association.

Since 2012 she has resided in Kingston. During her Bachelor of Education degree she practiced and competed in Quizbowl with the Queen's University Quizbowl club. Currently she is a French Immersion teacher in the Limestone District School Board. A massive fan of academic competition, she is the organizer of her elementary school's chess club, and has aspirations of helping coach regional high school Quizbowl teams.
