Charlie Perkins is the former Head Coach at Honaker and currently serves as the team's Assistant Coach. During his tenure as Head Coach, Honaker has earned three VHSL state championships (2016, 2017, 2019) and one VHSL state runner-up (2018).
Playing career
Perkins was Honaker's captain in 2010, leading the team to its first of what would become four VHSL State Runner-Ups. In college, he played a semester or two for William and Mary.
He also led a one-off unofficial Honaker team under the name of "Robert Zimmerman High School" at a 2010 NAREN mirror in Concord, NC.
