Cincinnati was a Quizbowl team located in Clifton, OH at the University of Cincinnati. Their nickname was the Academic Bearcats. They appeared in 4 D2 and 1 D1 championships, in each of which they finished last or second to last.
Inactivity
The program shut down in 2007 for unknown reasons.
Revivals
Many attempts have been made to bring it back to life, with the last unsuccessful one coming in 2021. Many thought that the program would be revived when HSNCT top scorerSam Blizzard decided to attend in 2015, but he did not make an effort to start a team, allegedly because he played essentially solo throughout high school and didn't want to continue.
