Dairy Queening

Dairy Queening is the act of participating in the social aspects of quizbowl while minimally engaging in the competitive side. A stereotypical "Dairy Queener" attends HSNCT as a fourth-scorer on a team's B- or C-team, goes 4-6, and spends the remainder of the tournament enjoying the sights and other people also attending while visiting Dairy Queen (a restaurant near the tournament venue) multiple times over the course of the weekend.
Use of the phrase is associated with Matt Weiner.
