Edwards County High School is a public high school in Albion, Illinois located between Fairfield & the Indiana border. It competes in Class A, the "small school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. The Lions compete in the Black Diamond Conference & has been a participant on WSIU's Hi-Q.

Edwards County is one of the more competitive schools in southeastern Illinois along with Fairfield & Cumberland. In recent years the team has shown success in regional & state tournaments. The expansion of the Masonic State Tournament into three classes has seen the Lions finish on the podium twice in 2020 & 2019, including the State championship against Villa Grove in 2020. In 2019, the program achieved it's highest finish on Hi-Q finishing 3rd after running into powerhouse, Carbondale. During the COVID-19 impacted 2021 season, Edwards County won its first IHSA Sectional title.
