Jason Asher played for Stevenson from 2010 to 2014 and University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2018. He was the top individual scorer at the Northern Illinois high school-only mirror of 2013 ACF Fall and part of the 2014 Team Illinois that placed second at NASAT. He was a Division II All-Star at 2015 ICT.

In college, Jason traded off with Shan Kothari as lead scorer of the Minnesota quiz bowl team. Jason's girlfriend, Thalia Noegroho, was also an officer of the team.
