Ladue won the Class 4 MSHSAA state titles in 2006 and 2009 despite attending almost no tournaments. Ladue's strength is largely based upon the knowledge gained in the real world of its players coupled with the relative weakness of the Missouri canon. It will be interesting to see whether Ladue can retain its preeminence in Missouri once its top players graduate and Missouri's canon begins to improve under the auspices of the Missouri Quizbowl Alliance.
